There is a need to intensify ecosystem based approach for quality production of different agri-horti commodities, which is consumer centric. Adopting modern tools and techniques for domestic and export oriented production, marketing and post harvest management, so as to make system technically sound, economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally harmless.

There are crop based specific climate resilient technologies for Fruits, vegetables and spices etc. particularly high-density plantation in mango (less area with more plants) with ground cover crops in initial years like pulses can be grown to get an extra income as well nitrogen will also be fixed in soil. For vegetable cultivation raised Furrow system can be used for maintaining soil moisture as well excess water can be drained out in case of rain-fed cultivation. Drip irrigation system can also be used for proper utilization of water, fertilizer application in root zone area, organic manures in all orchards and vegetable crops, use of bio-fertilizers, neem oil for controlling of sucking pest etc.
