Bagasse is mostly cellulose, hemicelluloses, and lignin-type molecules. A pure protease will not degrade most of these components, with some exceptions. The proteases may exhibit some small amount of hydrolytic activity on ferulic ester linkages which are known to be present as crosslinks between lignin and hemicelluloses. Also, some crude protease preparations may contain hemicelluloytic enzymes as contaminants, so your question is a rather empirical one that depends greatly on the enzyme preparations used.
