I purified plasmid DNA samples from cultured bacteria using Tianprep mini plasmid Kit (Spin Protocol). I checked its quality using Nanodrop and found a ratio of 260/280 around 1.87, but 260/230 ratio was around 15. I know that ideal 260/230 ratio is around 2, and if it is lower that the ideal probably means contamination with organic solvents. I was wondering if any body konws what the higher ratio indicates? and what is the solution?
Normally you need to add EtOH 99% to one of the wash solution before you are using the kit. Did you do that? However, 260/280 is more important. You may go ahead your downstream works and see you achieve what you want to get.

@Saha. Actually I didnt check after Gel electrophoresis. My DNA is intact.
For your clarity about the kit;TIANprep Mini Plasmid Kit is based on alkaline lysis technology followed by adsorption of DNA onto silica membrane in the presence of high salt.

Good to hear your progress. Most important is the 260/280 ratio, do not get tightened by 260/230
