But where? WhatsApp journal? or you mean Research gate?

Just a guess:

Normally the journals ask for the first principal or responsible author to register.

Then all the interchanges (as uploading an article) will be made with him.

Maybe one of your collaborators has already registered, so the journal would be expecting him/her to do the uploading.
