I want to know how reliable the isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) is in monitoring the real time bacterial biofilm metabolic activity and the biofouling capacity. Thanks!
For these experiments you do not need an isothermal titration calorimetry, you need an isothermal calorimeter. That is, you do not need the "titration" capability (unless you want to test the effect of adding certain reagents, but given the time length required, there will be considerable diffusion).
Anyway, there are many articles reporting bacterial metabolism/growth using isothermal calorimeters.
