As fatty acids and alcohols have a high HLB value requirement that is I chose Tween 20 and glycerol monooleate which when blended make 15.51 HLB value, will this microemulsion be induced and remain stable or do I need to make amends please do tell.
I think you've to use co-surfactant such as PG or alcohol. Also, I recommend you to increase the concentration of surfactants to be > 5%. I am not sure yet but I think you may need to change Jatropha oil and use Fennel oil or Anise oil instead.

I can't change Jatropha as it is the main research concern, however in terms of the surfactants can you elaborate a little please.
Hi Mohsin....For any bi-/multi-phasic system you need to know the nature (HLB) of the oil phase and also its concentration (% amount). Based on these information you can choose a surfactants/co-surfactants blend and also their percentage. Here the first issue is clear that you are taking Jatropha but next we need to know how much? Then you will be able to know the rHLB of the system and accordingly you can make a series of surfactants/co-surfactants combination!

Indeed! As Dr Jay said, we need first to know the total rHLB of the oily phase and the percentages of surfactant(s)and co-surfactant.
