hi can any one let me know which graphene is suitable for device applications the single layer or multiple layer and why?
Really depends on the device. Single graphene large layer is transparent (+ conductive + good diffusion barrier + strong + many others). Multiple graphene layers will of course increase the conductivity, barrier properties, strength etc, compared to single layer, but will also decrease transparency. So its a matter of what is important for the device.

If the device doesn't need graphene's transparency, then there is no need for single layer. However, some sensors need graphene to have a bandgap, which changes according to the analyte. In that case, you would be better off with graphene oxide rather than graphene.
