I have a 200W 68700 Oriel power supply in order to power my 200W Hg short ARC lamp. I was wondering if anyone here has worked with one before as going off of the manual linked below I am very confused about the igniter? It has an igniter drive port and talks about using an external igniter but also talks about the igniter drive circuitry built in? Additionally for the Hg lamp shown in the images any advice on what to set on the supply for the ignition and then for normal operation? Thanks!!

Use of the ignitor drive will depend on the lamp housing. Many older lamp housings required external ignitors. Newer housings often include built-in ignitors. If your lamp housing has a built-in ignitor, you won't need to use the one in your power supply. Make sure your lamp housing has the proper flow interlocks for N2 to prevent ozone generation. That should be connected to J1 on your supply.
The schematics are a bit confusing since they don't show J305 which should be J5 on the back panel. J5 should be 100V P-P @ 30kHz (isolated) and possibly a ground on some units. This is essentially connected in parallel with the main lamp leads in housings without built-in ignitors.
