I have few histology slides that is being viewed in 4x objective, and i want them to be photographed.unfortunately the digital camera in the microscope is under repair...can anyone tell me how good i can use my nikon coolpix to take the photos of the slide am viewing .thankyou in advance.

Try to aim objective to the viewing field, it is not so hard and you may receive fair photos as well. It is definitely doable.
