We are looking for feral hemp seeds to use in our ongoing experiments on invasion risk of hemp in Florida (https://programs.ifas.ufl.edu/hemp/). There seems to be a lot of 'wild' populations in the Midwest, U.S., leftover from the industry in 1940s.
Any suggestion for sourcing/ collecting these seeds?

Wild hemp grows a lot in the south of Kazakhstan. But I can’t deliver the seeds, perhaps this requires special permission from the authorities.

You might try Win Phippen at Western Illinois University. I found a healthy stand in rural Iowa, but I’m not sure how illegal or difficult (never tried) it would be to collect and ship seeds.
