Hello...my question is pertaining to pcr again..I was initially getting bands, but y then the bands stopped appearing on the same temperature ?

I was initially getting bands on the gel at 60°and then they stopped appearing at the same temperature...I changed the temperature but all in vain....even there r no dimers appearing on the gel...I have tried different recipes of my MM....I checked the DNA integrity then and saw sharp bands appearing ....means the DNA is ok....yesterday I increased the cycles to 40....on which I got some bands with smearing....I m now terribly confused on how to troubleshoot the problem? Please need expert advices
