For mAbSelectSuRe. the HiTrap are cheaper alternatives for research sized preparations. The HiScreen are easier to scale up to pilot manufacturing processes using similar Akta columns like the ReadyToProcess columns. If you perform some DoE on the HiScreen and come up with a process where an isocratic elution can be achieved, that process will (should) be directly scalable to a ReadytoProcess column.
I would stick with the HiTrap if you will be using it over and over again. The HiTrap also has the ability to connect it directly to the UV detector in a typical Akta system. The HiScreen requires some connectors. But note that the resin is the exact same thing for both columns.
Hi thanks for your information. May I know what is meaning the resin is "exact" for both column? Do you mean type of material for both Hi Trap and Hi screen are same?
If both are "exact", the different of both are height only rite as Hi screen (10cm)easier to scale up and method optimization? Please advise if I'm wrong
