I'm a M.Sc student in Chemistry, and I need some specific literature that has to do with the synthesis, isolation and characterization of salen type organometalic catalysts for homogenous catalysis, with Mg, Ca, Ba. These will be used in reactions of carboxylation and polimerization of some environmentally friendly compounds. It is important that be just for homogeneous catalysis, so that solied supported catalysis are not useful in this research.

In CN 102936181 the conversion of epoxides to diols in the presence of CO2 and water ist described with Mg salen complexes and quarternary ammonium salts and other salts as cocatalyst. Most applications of those complexes are related to luminescent behavior. A calcium salen complex was described for ROP of lactides in Macromolecules (2008) 41 (10), 3493-3502 and Mocromolecules (2007) 40 (10), 3521-3523 from Darensbourg. Ba salen complexes are used for vapor phase deposition of thin Ba film as described in EP 2708542. I don not know a catalytical application.
