We are high school students from the Philippines and we used the UV-vis spectrophotometer for the data that we need in our study, however, we would like to seek professional help and opinion regarding the analysis and interpretation of the data that wee gathered.

At first please answer following questions because you posted a very vague question!!
- What a kind of UV-Vis spectrometer (single or dual beam or diode array?
- What a kind of cuvettes (e.g. quartz, Polystyrol (PS) can be used from 360 to 780 nm and polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA) from 320 to 780 nm.
- Please note that your solvents for the sample must be pure and the product must be pure too.
-Sovents used for UV-Vis have a UV absorbance CUTOFF . P.e
Acetone 329 nm, Ethanol 205 nm a.s.o.
- Please read the basic of UV-Vis Spectroscopy on articles (see Google or Google Scholar) or books.
UV-Vis spectroscopy data can give qualitative and quantitative information of a given molecule or compound .
According to the groups in your pure molecule which absorb light
( chromophores) , you will earn a spectrum with a maximum at a given wavelength (nm). For the theory please see the UV-Vis spectroscopy books
