You might want to look into the elemental ratio e.g. Cl/HCO3 vs Cl or Na/Cl. What kind of evaporate rocks you have?

One of the best indication will be give by the Br/Cl ratio, that is different between actual seawater and evaporites. You can have a look at our paper by Demontety et al 2008 to get an indication, but you can also fid many other references.

leads to a low Br/Cl molar ratio (Cartwright et al.,

2006; Ghabayen et al., 2006) whereas anthropogenic

sources give a molar ratio around 0.0005 for wastewater

seepages or around 0.02 for agriculture return flows

(Andreasen and Fleck, 1997; Ghabayen et al., 2006; Vengosh

et al., 1999). Finally, seawater and coastal rainwater

have a similar ratio around 0.0015 in Mediterranean countries

(Jones et al., 1999; Vengosh et al., 1999)"
