Can you give examples?

A comment in a related discussion prompted this question. In the discussion, https://www.researchgate.net/post/Is_it_worthwhile_reading_old_and_really_old_science_articles,

Vadim S. Gorshkov added a reply October 9, 2018: "My personal record is 1872".

Reading this reply of Dr. Gorshkov today, reminded me that I have relied on articles older than 1872 several times.

For example, about Galileo’s Two New Sciences, I wrote, Why scaling and not dimension, Galileo?

A comparatively more `recent’ article by Sarrus and Rameaux contains clues to providing an explanation of Kleiber’s Law. Under the Project Name Metabolic Scaling are several articles that rely on principles based on dimension, as used by Sarrus and Rameaux. They were, I suspect, the first to use dimension in connection with a biological process.

An important article about mean path lengths published in 1860 by Clausius is, I think, connected to dark energy. I have relied on Clausius’s 1860 article several times, and I believe it remains relevant and important for cosmology, as mentioned in for instance: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/320707338_Clausius's_1860_article_on_mean_path_lengths

What are your examples?
