We are in a process of modelling experimentally subglacial landforms. We noticed that subglacial obstacles (we reproduced experimentally) is progressively pushed forward when coupled to the overlying ice resulting in its progressive displacement and destruction. When pushed, basal friction between ice and the ridge top leads to its displacement and a progressive reduction of its dimensions. Some kind of "terraces" are observed in the backward side of the ridge displacement trail. Have you ever observed similar processes and resulting morphologies in nature? Hope I am clear enough, do not hesitate if you need any kind of clarifications. Many thanks in advance
