Do you have any examples of basinal sedimentary section (black shales) where TOC correlates with calcite content? If yes which interpretations are given to these results knowing that we usually observe negative correlation between these two proxies.

I know none. But dilution by the other sediment fraction (terrigenous) would be the first good candidate I would explore to explain correlation between toc and caco3.
Thanks everyone for your answers! Olivier Cartapanis we have first thought of dilution to explain this but the highest TOC correlates with highest calcite content and highest sedimentation rates while the detritical fraction is reduced.
Christophe Thomazo authigenic carbonates is an hypothesis we should more deeply explored.
I would think that TOC content correlates negatively with primary calcite content. Nevertheless, we have found huge content of authigenic carbonates as common early-diagenetic cement products of organic-rich black shales (up to 6% TOC).
