If milk down is a problem then the best way is to stimulate udder and teats atleast for one minute and then start milking. The milk down would be normal. Kindly donot use any hormonal injections like oxytocin.
stimulation for at least 30 seconds (oxytocin release) and then attaching the cluster 60 - 90 seconds after stimulation will give good milk letdown without injecting oxytocin.
Thank you very much for your interaction with me. My question is whether researchers have found a solution to the problem of buffalo milking difficulty due to the irregularity of buffaloes udder .
the present problems are fundamentally of temperament and this is inefficient to the buffalo race, and on the other hand to the handling during the milking,. The River Buffalos constitute approximately 70% of the world population of buffalo. Among the most important river buffalo breeds (Bubalus bubalis) are: Mediterranean (from Rio), Murrah (from Rio), Nili Rabi (from Rio), Jafarabadió Jafrabadi (from Rio) and Carabao (from Pantano) (Leidenz, 2016). The Murray race is one of the most docile and with which it has been possible to implement milking even with mechanized milking. The main factors that limit the commercial production of buffalo milk are the late age of first parturition, the reproductive seasonality, the long interval between births and the long period of drying (FAO, 2017) I consider a good stimulus to the mammary gland from 30 to 60 seconds before milking will favor the descent of the milk plus the presence of the breed without the need of the use of exogenous oxytocin
Problems are different in function (also) of breed of Buffalo, for example Mediterranean buffalo have specific problems, due to no great use of artificial fecondation.
