Have anyone used wet film applicators ?

I have problem in buying the polymer liquid in terms of its viscosity. What must be the range of viscosity for Wet Film Applicators ? I believe it is used when the liquid doesn't easily flow and hence we draw down using the applicator. If viscosity of polymer liquid is 800 Cps is it okay ?

Hi Murali, it depends strongly what kind of applicator bar and what coating thickness you would like to apply......in addition also the rheology is important. Is the fluid shear thinning or not will change the result. But yes we have already applied fluids with 2000 mPas....but easiest to apply is normaly arround 20 -200 mPas, with wet film applicators, as long as surface tension is OK for wettability
