I don't think there has been any research on cats (domestic or otherwise), although quite some literature on other endotherms. Would certainly be an interesting avenue to explore.

Are you thinking about high temperatures, low temperatures or both? 

I was thinking about the natural range of temperatures in the UK, so I guess both higher and lower temperatures.

It hardly make any difference for domestic cats.
