Hi ..., it would be really nice if someone has original research data on the Kovats Retention index of 4-Methyl-2-oxovaleric acid.
I already checked NIST Chemical Webbook, but chromatographic data are not available for 4-Methyl-2-oxovaleric acid?

I know that Welke et al. have determined 4-methyl-2-oxovaleric acid on a polar DB wax column (doi:10.1016/j.chroma.2012.01.002).
They have also tested other column combinations such as DB-5×DB-WAX. Maybe they can help you.

You can also check the golm DB or the hmdb. In the latter there was a reference to Mona
