I am working with virus-infected cell culture and need to extract viral RNA from the supernatant. The Monarch® Mag Viral DNA/RNA Extraction Kit seems designed mainly for swabs and saliva.

Has anyone tried it successfully on culture supernatants? Would you recommend this kit, or is it better to stick with ones already optimized for supernatants, such as Qiagen or Macherey-Nagel kits?

Any feedback from your experience would be greatly appreciated.
