In our laboratory, we have standardized the EAE model with MOG. However, the last time we did an experiment, there was a problem and the control mice did not get sick. We did the troubleshooting and came to the conclusion that it could be due to the origin of the PTX or the realization of a poor emulsion CFA/MOG. To avoid possible problems in the future, we found this laboratory (Hooke Labs) that apparently sells a mixture "ready to use" to induce EAE. They guarantee that it is reproducible and that the mice get sick in a homogeneous way. I want to ask here if anyone has used that kit. It is recommendable? is it worth it? Do you know of other vendors that sell similar kits to induce EAE in a more effective way? Thank you.
