I would like to extract total nucleic acid from whole blood and bone marrow tissue using QIAsymphony DSP kit for RT-PCR .As per QIAsymphony DNA Blood handbook (Page 16), "QIAsymphony DNA Kits copurify RNA and DNA if both are present in the sample. If RNA-free DNA treatment is required, add RNase A to the sample before starting the procedure". So theoretically it should work, but am wondering if the RNA quality would be affected which will affect the downstream applications.
