I put the word communication deliberately, since I think stuttering is not primarily a speech disorder but a communication disorder. This hypothesis is based on observations that stuttering-like communication abnormality has been also seen in sign-language. It would be extremely interesting if stuttering could be at some level studied in model system.
its very clear that stuttering its a communicative disorders rather than an speech alteration alone. But not only communication disorders, you need also an idea of "self" that its involve in that communication, a social communicative self image or somehow and this dont exist in animals, not at least like in humans, so i consider very rare and unlikely that an animal would have this problems. Maybe it could be that the animal could have a kind of physiological alteration that may cause he does what it do in communication (rolf in a dog) in a different way, but the animal would never have a self image of itself like a non fluent communicator so the stuttering would not appears.

Although they stutter on the last syllable in the song motif, the song consists of several motifs and the longest repetition is usually in the first motif.
