Context: Our recently published case report (DOI: 10.13140/RG.2.2.19040.19200) documents clinical observations from a Siamese-heritage family where females developed severe hepatorenal disease while males showed manageable glomerular nephritis.

Key observations:

- Female phenotype: Severe hepatorenal syndrome, poor prognosis

- Male phenotype: Manageable glomerular nephritis, excellent response to treatment

- 80% penetrance in this family

- Potential eye color correlation with genetic status

This pattern resembles X-linked inheritance similar to human Alport syndrome or canine Samoyed nephritis, but has not been documented in cats.

We're seeking:

✅ Similar case observations from the veterinary community

✅ Validation from other feline families

✅ Input from veterinary geneticists

✅ Collaboration opportunities for multi-center studies

Any experiences with sex-specific hereditary nephritis patterns in cats?
