There have been a few papers describing attempts to produce biodiesel using microwave energy to power the reaction. Has anyone here actually done this themselves?
Aaron, Dorin Boldor and his graduate students at LSU have done this.
Nicholas Leadbeater at UCONN has done a lot of work on this. He published a few papers perhaps 2 years ago.

Dear Aaron,
I worked in the past on this topic and we developed a microwave powered system on continuous flow. Currently we are able to process several 100 liters an hour.
