Has anyone ever used the anti-Repo or anti-Elav antibodies for IHC?

I am trying to perform immunohistochemistry on the whole brain of bees using antibodies anti-Repo and anti-Elav (from DSHB, Iowa) but with very little result. Has anyone experience with one of these antibodies (even if not in bees)?
