Hello,

I use X-ray microtomography method to assess vascularization within a motor cortical transplant from cortical lesion of murine model. To do this, I perfuse NaCl, PFA and a contrast agent to visualize blood vessels. But when I pass the brains to the X ray microtomograph, it is impossible to visualize the different structures of the brain in order to overlay the immunohistochemistry slices with microtomography slices.

I did some research and i found informations about phosphomolybdic acid and phosphotungstic acid which are contrast agents for tissues, but these products are used on muscles and systemic veins. (Nierenberger et al., 2015 and Pauwels et al., 2003)

Does anyone have any information about these products applied to brains?

Thanks !
