I am going to develop a nonlinear model of a Suspension Bridge, in which I am trying to model the suspension cables and the suspender ropes (hangers) using Catenary cable elements of OpenSees instead of the conventional method used in literature, where large-displacement tension-only truss elements are employed for cables.
Since the Catenary Cable elements developed by Ahmad Abad et al. (2013) are somewhat new in the OpenSees library, I am looking for anyone who has experience with the application of this element in modeling a bridge structure.

Dear Mehran Shahpari,
I have seen that paper and the original paper of that authors published in a journal. The problem is that they do not use it in a complex structure like a suspension bridge under earthquake excitation to see how they work on that type of conditions. I’m looking for someone who did this before to make sure that the cables work properly and do not cause divergence in the analysis
