This is a widespread birdwing species and I observed it in several subspecies many times during my 10 year long studies in the region of the Moluccas and New Guinea.
This species known to fly slowly most of the time and soaring only around flowers.
I never seen this species soaring together with any of birds, primarily because rainforest birds are usually quick flyers, more quick than birdwings usually fly.
So any soaring observation (if available) is of interest.
