During my TMS treatments for major depressive disorder, I used self-hypnosis as a relaxation method. I incorporated the sensations of each set of stimuli as part of this relaxation. A few weeks after the treatments, I used self-hypnosis, as I often do, to relax prior to falling asleep. I was surprised to notice that that I could feel the sensations from the TMS treatment. More than that, I "overstimulated" myself in the same manner I was overstimulated from my very 1st TMS session. That was several months ago and I have not had to have a treatment since. I would be interested in helping anyone with such a study because I believe that anyone who knows hypnosis could help themselves with any TMS treatable situation.
