I am trying to conduct a double immunofluorescence in meristematic root cells using the Monoclonal Anti-Acetylated Tubulin antibody produced in mouse and an Anti-Tubulin antibody produced in rabbit both purchased from Sigma, however it seems that the rabbit anti-tubulin antibody does not work, has anyone worked with these 2 antibodies? Any reason why they do not work together? Any advice?
If I remember correctly, the rabbit polyclonal antibody from Sigma was raised against chick tubulin. Though tubulin is highly conserved, the antibody might not cross-react with tubulin in your plant sample. You might try rat monoclonal YOL1/34, whose epitope is the C-terminus of yeast alpha tubulin, a highly conserved region.

Here scientists can share information about antibodies they use in their research and i know several people have rated different tubulin-antibodies. I also hope you guys will review thee antibodies you use in your research. This will hopefully help the next scientist looking for a reliable antibody.
