As we know; conventionally polyphase generation systems are employed. However, since high phase order (HPO) machines are gaining greater acceptabilty I wish to know whether a nine phase generation system (synchronous or induction ) is viable or not. Can any one suggest a reputed journal article on 9 or higher phase generator specific modeling and analysis?
This is a very good journal article on multiphase machines for both VSD and generation applications. Maybe this will help you in finding more about mutliphase generators.
