Advanced Chemistry Development, Inc. (ACD Labs) is offering its industry standard processing software for 1D and 2D NMR, free of charge to students and educators. It also includes ACD/ChemSketch Freeware. The ACD/NMR Processor Academic Edition can be downloaded from the ACD/Lab website, www.acdlabs.com.
A 45-day free trial of Mnova (to visualize, process, analyze, and report 1D and 2D NMR data (from different magnet vendors, eg., Varian/Agilent, Bruker, JEOL, etc.) is available from mestrelab.com/software/mnova/nmr/
Open Source Software for NMR Data Analysis (rNMR, open source software package for visualizing and interpreting one and two dimensional NMR data (designed for high-throughput assignment and quantification of small molecules) is also available.
Both TOPSPIN and the ACD package are good and user-friendly. Other basic packages include iNMR which provides good graphics, particularly for MACs (http://www.inmr.net/free.html). For more advanced NMR analysis and structural elucidation then try COLMAR (http://spin.ccic.ohio-state.edu/index.php/colmar)
