A middle age lady presented with LOW.
She's a h/o GB polyp (0.7cm, multiple) shown on USS HBS one year ago.
CT HBS was offered and showed rapid increased GB polyp's size of 1.4cm.; otherwise no invasion of liver parenchyma; and the portal vein's patent.
Any opinion from Surgeon if which type of surgery preferred?
The best option is laparoscopic cholecystectomy including of course the pathological study of the vesicular polyp
Surveillance for a polyp of less than 1cm size... Lap chole with histopath evaluation if more than 1cm as these have chances of malignancy.
Size > 1 cm, multiplicity and rapid increase in size are all indications for a lap chole in this patient. Please remove the gallbladder in a bag. Further plan will be based on histology
