Hello,
I am designing a toxicity assay and I would like to measure the growth rate and yield of algae (OD600) using a plate reader. I was wondering if some of you have worked with algae that can grow in the dark at 37oC.
If so, could you share the name of the strain and growth media?
Note: Initial culture can be grown in presence of light, but the toxicity exposure assay is to be done in the dark. They would only be periodically exposed to short bursts of light.
