I am giving up, I cannot find a way reading EUMETSAT NWC SAF products, like Cloud Analysis, Cloud top heights, Cloud masking etc. The products are provided in a "space view perspective" grid in grib2 format and seems that this is not a supported projection by any famous software for handling satellite products or by NCL which I am mostly using.
Has anyone managed to handle this kind of data?

I am not exactly sure what the space view perspective grid is, but did you try to change the grid with e.g. wgrib2:

Thank you Maria, I will try CDO. It is a really inconvenient format to work with and I tried to convert them to netCDF but with no good structure. Anyway, EUMETSAT should reconsider if they want us to pay money for "sophisticated" software of some private companies or help us by providing the obvious.

Obviously the space view perspective grid is natural choice for products derived from geostationary platforms and thus standard in EUMETSAT. I have the same problem with the H05 product of H-SAF. I use very frequently cdo, but in this case you can not do very much with it. I wrote to the H-SAF with this question and I received the attached file.

Hi all,
I wrote a procedure to convert GRIB to netcdf for hsaf h03b/h05b products. In attachment my bash script (.txt for uploding problems) that uses wgrib2, nco and cdo to properly convert file in a more usable nc format over europe domain.
