Hi there everyone! I would like to know whether I could use Extra virgin olive oil derived polyphenols for the green synthesis silver/any other nano-particles- as a mean of drug delivery vehicle?
Thanks Mr. Amit Kumar for your response. Could you recommend me any relevant research article/review covering the standard protocols for the green synthesis of any kind of nano-particle using Olive oil derived Polyphenols. It would be of great help, especially when it comes to 1 year limited time-frame for a completion of research project.
Thank you Mr.Jai Ghosh for your response. The extracted compounds like Oleuropein and Hydroxytyrosol ,tyrosol etc are quite hydrophillic in nature, although each having variable polarity according to the previously conducted research reports. They have been previously used in nanoencapsulation using Bovine serum.
However I am interested in green synthesis of silver nanoparticles, considering vast therapeutic applications of both AgNPs as well as Biophenols of my interest.
My goal of this project is to optimize the therapeutic efficacy, and selective delivery of surface immobalized chemotherapuetics ( digoxin and paclitaxe,CTLA-4 inhibitors) in combination with aforesaid phytotherapeutics.
Well, if your compounds are hydrophilic in nature and yet with different dipole moments, then you may land up in having clumps especially when you use a medium like olive oil.
So would you suggest me to go for olive leaf aqueous extracts instead, as a starting material for the extraction of desired Phenolic compounds ?? Can I Possibly use them for the green synthesis of metallic nanopartices or should I go for the nano-encapsulation strategy for the optimized co delivery of both phenolics in combination of any synthetic drug of my choice, considering 1 year limited time frame required for the completion of my project.
Mr.Jai Ghosh could you possibly guide me along if you know any expertise in the field of nanomedicines/Nanobiotechnology.
