the interplanar distances in graphene - graphitic carbon - graphite in c-axis is basically the mayor characteristic between these species. In pure graphite, these layers are separated for 3.4 A, having Van der Waals type of bonds. This is a good match with your 0.33 nm measurement. On the other hand, the covalent bonds inside individual layer correspond to 1.4 A, which is also a good match with your observations. Would it be possible you are measuring different orientations in the same material? I guess you are measuring the lattice from HR-TEM images?

Dear Janez Zavašnik thank you very much for your help! I attach two images that I took with the HR-TEM and you can see in Fig 1 the planes at distance of 0.14 nm (and this could be the case you were talking about), while on Fig 2 there's a close up on what seems to be a carbon onion that I found in activated carbon made at 1,000°C, but even here the spacing between layers is 0.14 nm. Shouldn't I found for this latter carbon formation a layer spacing of 0.33 nm?

Коллеги! Для точности допущений и предположений, надо уточнить сам процесс активации и способ прбоподготовки материала для исследований на ПЭМ! Тогда и можно точно рассуждать о механизмах образования тех или иных химических связей между слоями графита после обработки.
