I have completed my B.Sc program in the field of Petroleum and Mining Engineering. I have done some research using Simulation software. Now, I want to learn the core things of this subject. But, I have a little insights on this field. It will be greatly helpful to me if anyone enlightens me about the coursework, future prospect and job security related to this field.
Thank you. I think computational or simulation based research has a very broad scope, but the practice is limited nowadays. And, I'm confused about the future prospect in this field.
If we are talking about of simulations of chemical processes, first thing first, start with the EoS modeling. You need to solve high order polynomials for that. Then decide to go with sequential or equation oriented simulation.
