The ribosomal elongation factor 2 gene is one.  If you go back far enough in evolution, back to life before it split into Archaebacteria, Eubacteria and Eukaryote domains of life then there seems to have been gene duplication such the the Elongation Factors and other GTP-binding proteins may have shared an ancestor via duplications.  But there have been no recent duplications of this gene.
