How genes are expressed?
how numerical values representation shows that genes are expressed, not expressed or equally expressed?
Genes are analyzed based on their expression values. If you are doing Microarray analysis and you would like to study the expression of genes, you study their intensity values (these values represent the degree of expression of that particular gene when it is hybrized to the probe).
As Sheik Asraf suggested, there are bioinformatic tools for doing the gtene expression analysis. Depending on your experiment, you can set the criteria and the genes that pass the criteria are expressed. With heatmap, you can observe the expression levels of genes as highly, marginal or not expressed.
