I've extracted my gDNA from Streptomyces today, on a Friday but it's pretty late and I can't stay late today. Is it okay for me to keep my extracted gDNA over the weekends at -20 degrees Celsius and run PCR on Monday?
yes dna is very stable and even a large amount of degradation will leave dna long enough to pcr amplify and at -20 there will be almost no degradation. It will be fine.

gDNA would be stable at -20 for months. However, avoid freeze thaw and it would be better to store in aliquots if you intend to use for a longer period.
If you isolate your gDNA on Fridays and you use it on the next Mondays, you can store the gDNA without any problems in a normal refrigerator at about + 4°C!
In my eyes this is the better procedure!
You can keep off the first freezing/thawing cycle.
Storage of extracted gDNA at -20 is okay as it is not degraded! However, from experience, it is normally best to work with fresh samples for any upstream experiments for instance setting up a PCR. The stored gDNA is sometimes compromised in the quality of the results obtained as compared to working immediately after extraction
