Hi,
I am new to GausView6 and in crushes all the time after starting it.
I only get the error: "Segmentation fault (core dumped)"
I've tried to add the following lines to my bash or to gview.sh
export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
export- LC_MEASUREMENT=en_US.UTF-8
export LC_NUMERIC=en_US.UTF-8
This sadly did not resolve my problem.
Running it on openSuse Tumbelweed

I had the same problem on debian (I think it was for linux distributions). the solution I had is to use software rendering under cinnamon. the problems occurs on all other desktop environment (gnome, xfce, plasma...).
now I use cinnamon (software rendering) to work with gaussview and I have no problem.

taki eddine ahmed Ardjani Christoph Schuster-Bourgin if you work on a linux distribution I think you must use a desktop environment with software rendering for the graphics, such as cinnamon (software rendering). This was the solution I found for the problem you encountered. The problem, I think, was due to the graphic card driver.
you can install cinnamon under the command: sudo apt install cinnamon -y
