As part of my bachelor thesis, I am analyzing the study area of a working group cartographically using ArcMap.
The last step that I'm not solving on my own right now: I have to calculate the percentage of the buffers (50, 75, 100 and 125 m) around the point features in the categorized areas (polygons). For example, I want to know how much of the Area within 50 m around ST1 is covered by coniferous forest (in m² and in %).
I created multirings with overlapping and tried to get the individual faces as polygons with the help of Intersect. Unfortunately, Intersect fragments the buffers into many individual parts (since they also overlap). What can I do? I've also thought of "zonal histogram" but don't know what to do next. I hope someone can help me and that my question is clear!

First make sure your data is in a projection system;
Next right click in the polygon file and select open attribuate table;
File add field to create an Area field;
click right in the created field Calculate geometry and choose Area.
I think you are looking for the Tabulate Area tool. The Tabulate Area tool creates a table that contains statistics for areas of polygons in a feature class. The tabulated area is a two-way cross-tabulation of the intersection between two different sets of polygons. Input Polygon Features: your Areas A, B, C... Input Zone Features: your Buffers (50, 75, 100, 125m) This will output a table with the area of each buffer in each type of area. You can then calculate the percentage of each buffer in each area by dividing the area of the buffer in the area by the total area of the buffer.
