I am trying to view a .log file which terminated successfully using Gaussian 16 and get the following error:
Unexpected EOF reading molecule specification
I can view the .fchk files without any problem but every .log file has the same issue, including those run using g09.
I am using GaussView 6
Has anyone encountered this issue or have suggestions on how to fix it? reinstalling Gaussview has not fixed the issue

Could you check if the filename of your output file shows ".LOG" or ".OUT"?
If yes, then try changing them to lowercase, and it should work.

The file extension is lower case so there is another issue causing the same error.
