Before and after oxidation process this peak (2357) remains same however i got for GO, broaden peak at 3386 (-OH), 1711 and 1385 (-COOH) and few other.
Another explanation:
gaseous CO2 usually gives 2 peaks in the region 2400cm-1, but being absorbed for example on the wall of a porous structure, or just being in contact with the solid surface - this doublet - transforms into a single peak with frequency very close to 2360cm-1. Thank you all for your valuable information. Now I can better understand and interpret this peak.
For CO2 you will find the peak in the reason of 2300 to 2400 and for -COOH you will get about 1700 to 1760.
even iam getting the same peak ... but am using pure graphene.. can someone help me?
