New and innovative research, proper methodology, precise and accurate measurements, valid results, good conclusions, and recommendation is probably going to help you in publishing paper in a reputed journal.

I Think that after carrying out an experiment to verify or test a hypothesis using the adequate Scientific methodology, the skills needed are:

- the ability to choose the right words at the right places to express a new and unknown fact and most importantly in the title.

- the ability to choose the right journal that deals with the issues you have written about.

- The ability to write in a particular journal style of language.

- The ability to respond to reviewers comment in a moderate language style without contradicting between reviewers and editors.

- the ability to display the results of the analysis in the best statistical way to be easily understood.

- The Scientific authenticity of the results

I think these skills can help a lot in writing and publishing articles in reputable journals

Writing a good article is an art too. Publishing an article in a reputed journal need to be more scientific activities. Some very high impact factor journal may be reluctant to accept articles from developing countries because we can not fulfill or we may not convince the reviewer about the reliability and validity of data we have collected.

Agree with all, especially Arben and Dmytro, reading and reading research papers is a key, but not reading everything in specialty, reading is more effective when choosing papers from highly reputed (high h-index....) journals and conferences.

In my opinion publishing qualified articles depends on many factors. To investigate and know the literature in detail, to know the subject very well, to give a comprehensive answer to a scientific problem, to make an innovative research, to give the valid results explicitly, to present the novelty in methodology in a proper way, to write the paper obeying a technical language rules, to write an impressive abstract, to give previous important studies related to that subject in the introduction part and then to emphasize properly the importance of the paper, to give proper and qualified figures and tables, to use update and sufficient references and to make an in-text citations properly and not to keep the paper too long...etc. These are the main skills which come to my mind at first thought, to write a qualified paper in a reputed journal.

this is very important topic for every researcher. I would suggest the following steps:

1. To have good idea for the research

2. What will be the contribution: theoretical, experiment, methodology, usefulness, user evaluation, ….

3. Define method of research, evaluation/ statistics

4. To consider what type of journal it is, what audience

5. Comprehensive literature overview (recent publications)

6. Consider structure of the article

7. Write conclusion in a way to answer the questions/ hypothesis

8. After the article is written, add summary and keywords

9. Language review

10. Rereading and final corrections

In my opinion, good command on subject and writing skills. Outcome of the research results may be connected with global point of view which typically makes international reader attention.

As a rule, a good researcher and a good writer are different people. It is necessary to have a strong team, in which there are at least an idea generator, a critic and a doer. But it is impossible for each team member to do only one thing (given the abundance number of modern methods, and the organization hierarchy, the list of co-authors of an ordinary physicochemical article becomes immense (in Russia this is called a “steam train”)). Usually in a good team there are no too narrow specialists, each one performs 2-3 or even more functions (well, the youngsters should be, not only admirals...). Here among these people there must be a person who sees the work as a whole and is able to clearly state the results (of course, some pieces may belong to other team members, but these must be sewed and presented in the same style and logic). I came across very ridiculous cases when a person does very complex and important experimental things, but cannot describe it coherently (like a dog ..., he understands everything, cannot say).

The most important thing. The talent of the writer of scientific articles differs little from the talent of the writer-narrator. Knowledge of the subject, logic, structure, style, completeness ...
